She has also won a number of awards for her work, being awarded Gold at the world’s biggest cake show, Cake International with one of her wedding cakes. 

Her latest triumph being at the prestigious International Salon Culinaire at the Excel in London, where she received a Gold Medal and Best in Class for one of her painted Wedding Cakes.

Nina's Amazing Amazon Cake

Remember THAT Amazon Cake?

I think everyone in the whole world was guilty of spending more online during covid19, where we used to go out, staying in and home deliveries became the norm – so when I started thinking about ideas for our son Kane’s 24th birthday cake during lockdown, it didn’t take long to come up with the idea of baking him the Amazon cake!

As with all my other creations, I uploaded a few pictures on my facebook feed for my followers to see and carried on with my day … little did I know that it would end up being shared online over 54,000 times, featured in national newspapers and on TV! In what were uncertain times, I really appreciated all of the positive feedback, flattered with the enquiries and loved seeing other people’s version of the cake.
